I love sky (NOT)

Sky customer services are amazingly bad!

I have been having issue with the signal quality and agreed to pay them £65 to come out and fix it. So with an appointment arranged for this morning (before 1) and a promise of a call to check it was still ok on the day or the night before I waited in for them.

As I write they haven't turned up. 

So I tried about 1.30 to ring them. On the first attempt I get through their insanely annoying IVR system and get told I need to speak to the installations team. So they put me on hold again. About 12 minutes into the call it hangs up on me with a nice beeping noise.

So I try again 10 minutes later. Exactly the same thing happens. This time I tried to ask to the installations team number and apparantly there isn't one. 

So I ring back a 3rd time. This time I was cunning I went for the Home Moving line. This got me throught to the first line in under 1 minute . They then tried to get hold of installations and it turned out there is a 3 minute queue. But this time they told me the number it is Sky Installations  08442 414 414. 

So finally I get through to sky installations and all they can do is confirm I may get a visit today. Apparantly their phones are broken and they can't ring the engineer. So I am now waiting on getting a call back.

Why is this so hard. I wish I had the option of Virgin Media where I lived. (They are probably as bad but at least I could feel better by switching).
